What is Pre-K Art Play?

Pre-school aged children are ready to start learning some of the basics of art! This class offers a little more structure than our Toddler Art Play and introduces students to line, color and shapes, through bright and colorful art projects! Read below for what to expect during our classes. 

 

Preparation: Dress for mess! We strive to only use washable art materials and have  Creative Jane Art Studio T-shirt Smocks available for purchase at the front desk! Buy them big to cover your child's clothing 

 

Participation: Caregivers can drop-off or stay and observe during this class. If staying, parents are encouraged to observe from our benches, allowing our teachers to engage with the children and lead them in making choices and working independently. If your child has some separation anxiety we suggest staying with them during our rug time and then allowing our teacher to guide them to our project area. 

 

Play and Paint:  This class is a mix of process art experiences and a take home project. After the teacher led story and project time, children are encouraged to enjoy our art stations at their leisure.
